Varda Nisar is a Curator/Researcher who studied Architecture before moving towards museums and art, and was the Curator of the Oxford University Press Pakistan Museum and Archives in Karachi. In the year 2013, she founded the Karachi Children’s Art Fest, a platform for kids to explore art and creativity in the absence of such institutions in the country. She also works as the Assistant Art Editor for an online magazine, The Missing Slate. She is also involved in her independent research on the Silawat Community, who migrated from Jaisalmer to Sind and is striving to maintain their identity. Currently she is pursuing her PhD in Art History from Concordia University.
